Helping Out and Get Treated Like Garbage!!!

So I have been doing a lot of volunteering at my kids school. Was excited to be going on my daughters field trip Monday June 10th, 2013. Just as we were walking out the door I was stoped by one of the school workers, telling me tbat they needed help in the lunch room. So needless to say, I was forces to not go on the field trip. Totally was ticked off all day.

You would have thought they would have communicated with the kitchen staff, that I would not be here. But NO; they didn't. My daughter was heart broken when she got home from the trip. She cried in my arms for a hour. I felt so bad for her. Then today I get called sown to the office because, someone overheard what I was saying and reported it to the staff member that had stoped me. Let's just say I was HIGHLY ticked off.

Then while I was making copies today, foe the cermony tomorrow I ran out of paper. So I went to get some, and when I came back someone was using the printer. This person kept jamming it up. Needless to say when I tried to help out, I got blammed for jamming up the printer.

Yeah I know it is the last week of school, and there is a lot to do; but don't take it out on the only parent that has been helping them out. So I am sitting in the gym relaxing before school gets out. I'm not doing anything else today. I'm done with today. People need to appreciate what is in front of them, and not jump to conclusions so fast. Talk with the person ypu are having a problem with. Ugh.... Totally frustrating!!!

Children are Not Safe Anywhere, Any more!!!

This article is sad and sickening. How some parents act and think towards their children just disgust me. To kidnap your own children because, you don't want to have anything to do with the other partner (boyfriend/girlfriend, Ex-husband/Ex-wife), or to get your children back because they were removed from your custody. The things these people would do, just to get a hold of their child(ren) is not right; specially when you tie up your Grandmother/Ex's Grandmother, then leave the country. Don't these people know that we (the United States) have people living in different countries, to catch people who do this type of stuff??? This couple needs to be found, and those children returned back to their custodial guardians.

"Search for U.S. couple, their missing sons focuses on Cuba

(CNN) -- The search for a U.S. man who allegedly abducted his two young sons last week focused Monday on Cuba, with a Florida sheriff's department saying it had received information that the man, his wife and sons had arrived in the island nation, possibly by sailboat.
A State Department official in Washington told CNN that the U.S. Interest Section in Havana "is aware of this case and is in contact with local authorities to get more information." The official would not comment further, citing "privacy considerations."
Authorities believe the father, Joshua Michael Hakken of Louisiana, abducted his sons Chase, 2, and Cole, 4, early Wednesday after breaking into the Florida home of the children's grandmother and tying her up.
In Havana, Lynn Roche, an official with the U.S. Interest Section, said section officials couldn't discuss any case of an American who hasn't signed a privacy act waiver.
And an official with Cuba's foreign ministry said Monday evening that his agency was unaware of the case and had not received any requests for help from U.S. officials.
The boys had been removed from the care of Hakken and his wife, Sharyn Patricia Hakken, last year, and on Tuesday, the couple's parental rights were terminated in Louisiana, investigators say.
The abduction report triggered an Amber Alert for the children, but there were no reported sightings.
Joshua Hakken, described as an anti-government protester, was believed to be armed, according to the Hillsborough County sheriff's office in Tampa, the site of last week's alleged abduction. Investigators believed his wife was with him.
On Monday, the sheriff's department released a statement saying it had "received information that the Hakken family had arrived in Cuba."
The brief statement did not offer any specifics about the information but added, "We are currently working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation who is in contact with the U.S. State Department to verify this information."
That followed a statement Friday from the same department saying it had obtained information that Joshua Hakken recently bought a 25-foot sailboat.
There is no extradition treaty between Cuba and the United States, although there have been recent cases in which Americans sought for crimes in the United States and discovered in Havana have been sent back by the Cubans.
The FBI currently estimates there are around 70 fugitives from U.S. justice in Cuba, which is one of the reasons Cuba remains on the U.S. list of countries that support state terrorism. Most of the American fugitives in Cuba have been there for decades and have ties to revolutionary movements or radical groups.
On Thursday, the police department in Slidell, Louisiana, issued its own statement offering background on the Hakkens and why the boys were taken from the parents last year.
In June of 2012, Slidell police responded to a disturbance report at a hotel where Joshua and Sharyn Hakken were staying with their sons, the police statement said.
"When police arrived, both Mr. and Mrs. Hakken were acting in a bizarre manner that alarmed officers. They were talking about 'completing their ultimate journey' and were traveling across the country to 'take a journey to the Armageddon,'" the Slidell police statement said, adding, "Let it be noted that both of their children were present in the hotel room at the time."
Because of the parents' behavior and "the fact that narcotics and weapons were located inside of the hotel room," the children were taken by child welfare officers, and Joshua Hakken was arrested on drug charges, the statement said.
"Approximately two weeks later, Slidell Police were notified that Mr. Hakken had shown up to the foster family home ... with a firearm demanding the return of his children," the Slidell police statement continued. "The foster parents called 911, and Mr. Hakken fled without his children. We have heard nothing until (Wednesday)."
At some point over the past few months, the children were sent to Tampa to live with their grandmother, Patricia Hauser, the mother of Sharyn Hakken.
"Somehow they found out where the kids were," said Detective Larry McKinnon of the Hillsborough County sheriff's office.
Sheriff's investigators say Joshua Hakken entered Hauser's home at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. She told police that he tied her up and fled with the children in her silver 2009 Toyota Camry. That vehicle was found later that day just a couple of blocks away from the home.
Those investigators told CNN they believe Joshua Hakken joined up with his wife, who was waiting in their pickup truck, and the family drove to a parking garage. A short time later, investigators said, Hakken is believed to have taken a sailboat out of a private slip in nearby Madeira Beach.
Surveillance images showed the boat sailing into the Gulf of Mexico about three and a half hours after the boys disappeared from their grandmother's home, investigators said, adding that the photos showed adults and children aboard."

A Shame How Family Can Treat Each Other!!!

So reading some news articles today, (what I do every morning) I came across one that just did not set right with me. I know that every religion has its "standards" and "set rules", but to do something to the extent of what I just read is absolutely DISGUSTING!!! No woman should EVER be treated this way. I don't care what religion you are, but this is just plain down-right WRONG!!!

As you read this article, you will read about a young woman named Gul Meena. What happened to her, should never happen to any woman; but yet, reportedly, there are over 4,000 women who are treated like this. Prayers go out this young woman, and every woman treated like this. Please, after you read the article go to the website below and watch the video.

"Exclusive: How my brother tried to kill me in 'honor attack'

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- It's cold and raining in Kabul and the pothole-filled dirt roads have turned into a sea of mud. We drive up to the gateway of a high-walled compound. A soldier brandishing an AK-47 stands guard outside the building. We've come to a women's shelter to meet Gul Meena -- a 17-year-old girl from Pakistan who shouldn't be alive.
My crew and I are ushered into a room and sitting on a wooden chair slouched over is small, fragile Gul Meena. Her sullen eyes turn from the raindrops streaming down the window outside and towards us as we enter the room.
Gul's bright coloured headscarf is embroidered with blue, red and green flowers and covers most of her face. She nervously plays with it and gives us a glimpse of a frightened smile from underneath the fabric. Her guardian Anisa, from the shelter run by Women for Afghan Women, touches her head and gently moves the headscarf back. That's when we see the scars etched deeply into her face.
This Pakistani girl's life of misery and suffering began at the tender age of 12, when instead of going to school she was married to a man old enough to be her grandfather. She says: "My family married me off when I was 12 years old. My husband was 60. Every day he would beat me. I would cry and beg him stop. But he just kept on beating me."

When Gul told her family what was happening, they responded in a way that shocked her. "My family would hit me when I complained. They told me you belong in your husband's house -- that is your life."
After five years of abuse, Gul Meena met a young Afghan man and finally gathered the courage to leave her husband in Pakistan. In November 2012 she packed up some belongings and they made their way across the border into Afghanistan to the city of Jalalabad.
Gul knew she was committing the ultimate crime according to strict Islamic customs -- running away from her husband with another man -- but she also knew she didn't want to continue living the life she had since her marriage.
"I'd tried to kill myself with poison several times but it didn't work. I hated my life and I had to escape. When I ran away I knew it would be dangerous. I knew my husband and family would be looking for me but I never thought this would happen. I thought my future would be bright," she says.
Days later her older brother tracked them down. Armed with an ax, he hacked to death Gul Meena's friend, and then struck his own sister 15 times -- cutting open her face, head and parts of her body.
Gul Meena shows me these scars -- taking off her headscarf, her finger gently running up and down the raised, freshly healed skin. She touches her head where the blade hit her and then shows me the deep cuts that were made to the back of her neck and her arms. It's clear to me she desperately tried to fight off her brother before she passed out.
Assuming she was dead, her brother escaped back to Pakistan. Authorities are yet to catch him, but his family denies that he tried to kill Gul.

Hearing the commotion, a passer-by discovered Gul Meena lying in a pool of blood in her bed, and rushed her to the Emergency Department of Nangarhar Regional Medical Centre.
With part of her brain hanging out of her skull, neurosurgeon Zamiruddin Khalid held out little hope that the girl on his operating table would survive.
"We took her to the operating theatre and she'd already lost a lot of blood. Her injuries were horrific and her brain had been affected -- we didn't think she would survive", says Khalid as he shows us photos of Gul's injuries before he sewed up the wounds. In one photo her face looks like a piece of meat that has been hacked apart.
Khalid said: "We are very thankful to almighty God that Gul Meena is alive -- it really is a miracle."
But Gul's troubles were far from over. While she'd received life-saving treatment from the doctors and staff at the hospital, she had no one to care for her on the outside. Gul had been disowned by her family and despite the government and authorities knowing that she was alive and receiving care at the hospital, they wanted nothing to do with her due to the stigma and circumstances surrounding her attack.
For two months Gul stayed in the hospital thanks to the generosity of doctors who donated the money to pay for her medicine. Finally the American-Afghan organization Women for Afghan Women was informed of Gul's situation and took her in, transporting her back to a shelter in Kabul to give her the love and care she so desperately needed.
"When she first came to us she couldn't talk or walk she was barely conscious -- she couldn't eat by herself. She had to wear a diaper. If we hadn't got her when we did, she wouldn't have survived," says Manizha Naderi, the executive director of Women For Afghan Women.
Gul Meena is one of thousands of women living in shelters across Afghanistan -- many of them victims of attempted honor killings. Tragically this practice still exists in a number of cultures, including certain tribes in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon recently expressed concern over the 20% increase in civilian casualties among women and girls in Afghanistan in 2012. Moon said: "I'm deeply disturbed that despite some improvements in prosecuting cases of violence, there is still a pervasive climate of impunity in Afghanistan for abuses of women and girls."
The U.N. claims that 4,000 cases of violence against women and girls were reported to the Afghan Ministry of Women between 2010 and 2012.
While there are 14 women's shelters in Afghanistan, all of them are funded by the international community, and the concern is that once international forces pull out of Afghanistan at the end of 2014 this funding will disappear. What will that mean for the thousands of women who rely on their services like uneducated, illiterate, homeless Gul Meena?
Naderi says: "If we send her to her family, she's going to be killed. As far as her family is concerned she's dead. That's the problem for all our women. It's a scary time for Afghanistan and especially for Afghan women, in particular the women in our shelters because we don't know what's going to happen. If they leave here, for most of them it will be a death sentence."
Gul Meena doesn't think about the future -- and in fact, she wishes she had died the day she was attacked.
"I've tried to kill myself several times since arriving at the shelter but they won't let me. When I look at the mirror I put one hand to the side of my face. People tell me not to do that ... but I'm so ashamed." "

Who Says Good Things Don't Come to People Who Wait?!?!

This guy is truly a gentleman and a child of the Lord. More than likely if it would have been anyone else put in this situation, they would have sold the ring and would have taken off with the money. But because this gentleman did the decent thing and waited to see if the owner would return, he was awarded greatly. To bad there aren't more people like this in the world. I read this story when it first aired on television, but was shocked to see the news yesterday with an update on this gentleman.
The article you are about to read comes from USA Today author, Alia E. Dastagir.  http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/03/24/homeless-man-engagement-ring-family-reunion/2015777/?csp=fbfanpage

"Homeless man who returned ring reunites with family"

"Billy Ray Harris never imagined one good deed could change his life.
Until it did.
Harris, who had been homeless for years, made national headlines for returning a lost engagement ring left in his donation cup last February. Now, he has a home, a job, and on Sunday, he reunited with his family after 16 years.
"This is a really big surprise," Harris, of Kansas City, Mo., said during a tearful reunion with his siblings on the Today show Sunday. "I'm in shock."
Harris' four siblings surprised him on the set of the Today show. They hadn't seen or talked to Harris in more than a decade, until his younger sister Robin saw a story about Harris online after his good deed went viral.
Harris, who frequently panhandled on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, discovered an engagement ring after a woman dumped spare change from her coin purse into his cup. Sarah Darling had taken off her ring earlier that day and put it with the coins.
"The ring was so big that I knew if it was real, it was expensive," Harris told KCTV in February.
Harris admitted to Today that he took the ring to a local jeweler, who offered him $4,000 for it. Harris considered selling it, but decided to hold on to it, waiting for Darling to return.
A couple of days later, Darling, horrorstruck when she realized what she had done, did just that.
She went back to Harris, squatted beside him and told him that she might have given him something valuable.
"'Was it a ring?'" he recalled asking her. "And she says, 'Yeah.' And I said 'Well, I have it.' "
In explaining why he didn't keep the ring, Harris said he had a religious upbringing.
"My grandfather was a reverend," Harris said. "He raised me from the time I was 6 months old and thank the good Lord, it's a blessing, but I do still have some character."
Darling gave Harris all the cash she had in her wallet at the time.
"It seemed like a miracle," Darling said. "I thought for sure there was no way I would get it back."
Darling and her husband set up a website seeking donations for Harris, hoping to raise the $4,000 Harris was offered for the ring.
It turns out they weren't the only ones moved by Harris' good deed. With more than 8,000 donations, the fund has raised $185,000.
For Harris, that wasn't the biggest payoff.
Harris' youngest sister Robin, who lives nearly 500 miles away in Wichita Falls, Texas, saw Harris' story online, and immediately knew it was the brother she had been searching for after losing touch more than a decade ago. She was able to track Harris down, and they reconnected by phone.
"We cried on the phone and stuff and was talking about how happy we was that we found each other because he said he was worried about me too," Robin told Today. "He had been gone so long."
Harris, with his arm wrapped tightly around his sister during their reunion Sunday. reflected on how much he's gained since the ring landed in his cup.
"This is a big payoff," said Harris, sitting on a couch was his family. "Got it all right here now."

Who is Irena Sendler???

Who is Irena Sendler??? Most people don't know. It's not taught in our history books, and it's not talked about in our schools. What she did for the Jewish families during World War II was the kindest act a human being could do for so many. Sadly she was not recognized for her outstanding service to helping save the human race. Please read and pass along.

I don't know who the author of this story is, or who posted the picture. All credit is given to them for this amazing story.

Remember this lady? I didn't either.

Irena Sendler

Died: May 12, 2008 (aged 98)
 Warsaw, Poland

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an ulterior motive.

Irena smuggled Jewish infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried. She also carried a burlap sack in the back of her truck, for larger kids.

Irena kept a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers, of course, wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.

Ultimately, she was caught, however, and the Nazi's broke both of her legs and arms and beat her severely.

Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she had smuggled out, In a glass jar that she buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived and tried to reunite the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

In 2007 Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.
She was not selected.
Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

Please share this to honor the sacrifice and courage of this fine human being who gave so much and saved so many.

What is Sequestering REALLY Doing to our Country???

As I have reported before, America is now under a Sequester. This is not good for our economy in any way. Before it was reported that Boarder Patrol Agents were the ones being attacked, but after further review and research they are not the only ones being affected by this. In a recent article that I just read today (March 18, 2013), it is affecting ALL government controlled places.

Here in Michigan not only are our Boarder Patrol Agents being cut down on hours, being made to take days off, AND take a major pay cut 40%; we are losing a special group of people, the Blue Angles. In the article I just read, the Blue Angels who fly over Comerica Park before games, who fly over Academies during graduations, and who put on a PHENOMENAL air show during the summer, are no longer going to be doing this. Many people look forward to seeing these flyers every year. I remember going to see them as a child myself. It is very sad that they will no longer be able to fly and bring enjoyment to thousands of people each year, all because our government doesn't know how to handle our money.

A lot of us will also be seeing less time at the State parks as well. Employees at State parks are expected to lose hours, and days because of this stupid, YES STUPID, Sequester. There are now going to be THOUSANDS of people having to make MAJOR changes in their lives AND their families lives. A friend of mines told me that a lot of Boarder Patrol Agents (single and with families) are up and leaving everything; cars, houses, etc... all because they can no longer afford these things. They would rather take a hit on their credit, then wait till last minute to find an affordable place.

It is sad to see these hard working individuals have to suffer like this. NO ONE, who puts their life on the line for OUR country, should be put through this. First our military feels it, and now WE are feeling it. Its upsetting and sad!!!

To all Boarder Patrol Agents, State Park employees, the Blue Angles, our Military, and their families, I will be praying for you. You guys should not be treated like this. It's unfair!!! Hang in there, and remember President Obama won't be in office ever again once his term is over with. Pray our country wakes up and elects someone that WILL do better for this country, without hurting the ones that protect our country and keep are state parks up and running.

God bless to all!!!

Why Must those that Protect Us, Must Suffer from our Government???

As some of you have read from my last post about Sequestering, it is going into true affect as of the beginning of next month. Our Boarder Patrol Agents, who put their lives on the line everyday of work, are having to take a 40% pay cut in their paychecks. This is TOTALLY wrong AND unfair. We have all seen it happen to our police departments all over the place, but now it is spreading further out. This is a SERIOUS issue that needs to be addressed. These agents do not need to lose any money out of their pockets. Here is a news article from Channel 7 WXYZ's website about what is going to happen next month. Spread the word that this is unfair.

Border patrol agents to face cuts due to sequester

http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/border-patrol-agents-to-face-cuts-due-to-sequester#ixzz2NWnIAlCY

(WXYZ) - Border patrol agents like Nathan LeGender risk their lives to protect our country and now they will be doing it for a lot less money.
“People come across anyway they can, boats, canoes, swimming, whatever to come across,” said LeGender.
Next month, Nathan and all other agents will be taking a hit in their paycheck. While the number of agents isn't being reduced, their work hours will be.
Between mandated furlough days and a cut in work hours, some agents could see paychecks light by as much as 40 percent, and they are worried about how it could affect what they do in the field.
“This is going to hit us hard,” said LeGender.
Agents say they are worried they will not be focused on officer safety, but rather on worrying about being able to feed their family and pay their mortgage.
The U.S. Border Patrol is just one agency forced to slash its operating budget as part of the "sequester"--the $85 billion reduction in the federal budget.
Nathan says they won't stop doing their job, but they believe the decisions made by politicians will have real-life consequences.
Agents will begin to notice the cuts in their paychecks starting April 7.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection released this statement about the cuts:
"In order to address the more than half a billion in budget cuts imposed by sequestration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection must take significant budget reduction actions. CBP will continue to make every effort to minimize the sequester’s impact on public safety and national security, but expects that planned furlough of employees, along with reductions to overtime and hiring freeze will increase wait times at ports of entry, including international arrivals at airports, and reduce staffing between land ports of entry. Even with these cuts though, individuals apprehended illegally crossing the southwest border will still be processed as usual.  CBP continues to evaluate further impacts of sequestration on our operations. Because the length of the sequestration as well as funding levels through the end of the fiscal year are unknown at this time, it is difficult to project the impact of the reductions on individual employees or job occupations."

Sequestration is Effecting our Border Patrol Agents, and it's NOT Fair!!!

So this WHOLE Sequestration has really gotten on my nerves. Yes the United States does need to watch and cut down on their spending's, BUT taking money out of our Border Patrols hands is outrageous. Why don't we stop sending money (that we DON'T have) and military supply over sea's, and start putting it back into our OWN country.

Society thinks all Border Patrol agents do is ask if you are bringing in anything illegal into our country, BUT it goes much further than that. A good friend of mine is facing this problem. Her husband is a Border Patrol Agent, and their family is being affected by this whole Sequestration. The article you are about to read will inform you on what an agent does, AND tell you how Sequestration is going to affect THOUSANDS of people's lives.

It's time for America to wake up, and see what is going on with our country. To many people are losing their homes, due to people losing their jobs because of the government raising taxes and making cuts.

AFGE DENOUNCES SINGLING OUT OF BORDER PATROL FOR LARGEST SEQUESTRATION HIT

"Union says DHS decision will have dire consequences for border security
J. David Cox Sr., national president of the American Federation of Government Employees, today issued the following statement on sequestration’s impact on border security:
“On Friday, March 1, hours after he signed the sequester order, President Obama tried to describe to the press the impact of sequester on federal employees, active duty military and their families. He referred to ‘Border Patrol agents in the hot sun getting a 10 percent pay cut…’
“Just as ‘the hot sun’ is hardly the biggest risk Border Patrol agents take while performing their duties, the 10 percent pay cut to which the president referred is only a small portion of the economic pain the Department of Homeland Security has in store for them. In fact, DHS has singled out Border Patrol agents to receive by far the largest financial penalty of any other group of federal workers. The plan DHS has chosen for Border Patrol agents will mean a 35 percent decline in their paychecks for the rest of the fiscal year and beyond.
“Border Patrol agents have been singled out to lose 75 percent more of their paychecks than even civilian Department of Defense workers who face 22 days without pay (for a 20 percent pay cut). Secretary Napolitano has announced that she intends not only to furlough Border Patrol agents for 14 days, but also to impose a total moratorium on routine overtime pay. Together these policies will reduce the paycheck of a typical Border Patrol agent by 35 percent. Even within their own agency, these cuts stand out for lopsidedness and severity. For example, officers who police the ports and provide customs enforcement will be furloughed 14 days but retain overtime; there is every reason to believe that they will make up wages lost to furlough with compensatory overtime so that cargo and passengers will continue to move through ports of entry. But with this anti-Border Patrol policy, illegal “cargo and passengers” will likely flow into the U.S. as well.
“Guarding the border is not a nine-to-five job. Overtime work is routine, and when they are hired, agents are informed that they will almost never work a regular eight-hour shift. Instead, they are expected to work at least 10 hours every day and often more because they do not stop when they are in pursuit of drug and gun smugglers and others engaging in criminal activity on the border. But with the sequester policy DHS has fashioned for Border Patrol, agents will be instructed to stop working at the moment their straight shift ends. Good news for criminals and others who would enter our country illegally; but very bad news for Americans who rely on the courage and devotion of Border Patrol agents who risk their lives every day to keep drugs and guns and gangs outside our borders.
“We urge Secretary Napolitano to rethink this terrible decision. It is wrong for border security, and it is wrong to single out Border Patrol agents for such drastic and undeserved economic pain. Border Patrol agents are law enforcement professionals, and this policy will undermine their ability to carry out their mission to guard the border and protect American citizens. Apart from the inequity in the size of the economic sacrifice being demanded of them, they do not want to let criminal gangs and smugglers go just because their shift has ended. The moratorium on overtime combined with 14 furlough days must be reconsidered.” "

Some People need a V-8 Smack; not with the drink, but the Engine V8!!!

The nerve of some people! It is truly sad that there is so much racial hate in our society today. You would think that this type of hate would be done with, but it's NOT! This article IRKED the crap out of me. SERIOUSLY, do people think they can get away with abusing a child and especially if that child is off a African background? Totally sickening!!! This guys lawyer is even saying that he's pleading NOT guilty! Sorry, but your client IS guilty! A U.S. Federal Air Marshall had to step in, as well as other passengers, to protect this baby. And what irks me even more, is the response someone left saying that the mother was making this up. The article below comes from http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/local_news/water_cooler/Grab_wxyz_joe-rickey-hundley-idaho-man-charged-with-slapping-crying-boy-uttering-racial-slur-on-flight1361187634890.

Joe Rickey Hundley: Idaho man charged with slapping crying boy, uttering racial slur on flight

ATLANTA - A 19-month-old boy is at the center of an FBI investigation after his mother said a stranger seated next to them on a flight from Minneapolis to Atlanta slapped the boy.
The toddler’s mother, Jessica Bennett, 33, told ABC News she was sitting in an aisle seat, alongside Joe Rickey Hundley, 60, a stranger on Feb 8 when the incident happened as the Delta plane began descending.
"Jonah starts crying because he’s feeling the pressure in his ears," Bennett said.
At that point, Hundley, according to court documents, told Bennett to "Shut that (n-word) baby up,"
Bennett said she asked the man to repeat what he said and he leaned toward her and repeated the expletive.
She said the man then slapped her son, causing him to bleed and causing his eye to swell.
A federal air marshal on the flight stepped in with other passengers to help.
In an interview with The Smoking Gun , which first reported the incident, Bennett said Hundley "reeked of alcohol."
Hundley was charged with assault in an Atlanta federal court.
His attorney, Marcia Shein, told ABC News that nobody should rush to judgment and that Hundley would be pleading not guilty.
Hundley told The Smoking Gun he had a single alcoholic drink and was distraught over a hospitalized relative he was going to visit.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Saturday that AGC Aerospace and Defense had suspended  Hundley, of Hayden, Idaho, as president of its Unitech Composites and Structures.
The Associated Press said the company issued a new statement on Sunday saying that, while not referring to Hundley by name, calls reports of an executive's behavior on personal travel "offensive and disturbing" and says he "is no longer employed with the company." The statement does not say whether the executive quit or was fired.

President Obama Replacing Military Leaders???

This article comes from www.examiner.com written by Dave Gibson. It explains how President Obama is getting rid of U.S. military leaders if they will not fire on U.S. citizens. This is absolutely absurd!!! President Obama is running all of our protection right out of the country. We can not stand for this!!!

Shock claim: Obama only wants military leaders who 'will fire on U.S. citizens'

"On Monday, renowned author and humanitarian Dr. Jim Garrow made a shocking claim about what we can expect to see in Obama's second term.
Garrow made the following Facebook post:
I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new “litmus test” in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. “The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they willfire on US citizens or not.” Those who will not are being removed.
So, who is the source?
Garrow replied: “The man who told me this is one of America’s foremost military heroes.”
Understand, this is not coming from Alex Jones or Jesse Ventura, or from anyone else the left often dismisses with great ease.
Garrow is a well-respected activist and has spent much of his life rescuing infant girls from China, babies who would be killed under that country's one-child policy. He was also nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
His bio on Amazon.com reads:
Dr. James Garrow is the author of The Pink Pagoda: One Man’s Quest to End Gendercide in China. He has spent over $25 million over the past sixteen years rescuing an estimated 40,000 baby Chinese girls from near-certain death under China’s one-child-per-couple policy by facilitating international adoptions. He is the founder and executive director of the Bethune Institute’s Pink Pagoda schools, private English-immersion schools for Chinese children. Today he runs 168 schools with nearly 6,300 employees.
This comes on the heels of Sunday's report in the Washington Free Beacon (WFB) that the head of Central Command, Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis is being dismissed by Obama and will leave his post in March.
The WFB article states:
“Word on the national security street is that General James Mattis is being given the bum’s rush out of his job as commander of Central Command, and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned.”
Did Gen. Mattis refuse to "fire on U.S. citizens?""

Dealing with a Special Needs Child!!!

Every child is unique in every way! Some kids can catch on to things, and learn them extremely quickly; while others struggle

I am a mother of two BEAUTIFUL AND LOVING children. They are the world to me!!! But, I face a daily struggle with one of my children; my daughter. She struggles on a daily basis to do her classwork and homework; not because she doesn't want to do it or she's lazy, but because she has a hard time comprehending what is being taught. She has been like that since she was a little girl. She could only say a few words, and could not put a sentence together. When I asked her doctor what he thought (at that time) he told me, "Don't worry! She'll catch up in a year or two." Well lets just say, we are no longer taking her to that doctor any more.

He was wrong!!! He should have recommended me to get her evaluated, but he didn't. My daughter needed to be getting help at a young age. It wasn't until the end of Kindergarten, that her teacher suggested I get her tested. Sure enough, she didn't pass any of the tests. So, thinking that with the help, she would be up to par at the end of first grade. Boy was I WRONG!!! Her I.E.P. (Individualized Education Program) that she took at the beginning of second grade showed there was no improvement. By that time, I knew that my baby girl was going to struggle through school.

When she entered into Second Grade, she liked the teacher. I thought she was very nice as well. Boy was I wrong again! This teacher was a banshee!!! She could care less about my daughter's needs, or her I.E.P. My daughter is suppose to get help on her tests because, she could not read. When you read it to her, you had to read it slow. This banshee started getting loud with her, and circling the "key" multiple times (it was a Social Studies test with a key guide on it). You could tell the level of frustration in this teacher because, you could see the indentation of the pen on the paper. When my baby girl came home in tears telling me what she had done, I had had it!!! I went to her special education teacher, and showed her and told her what had happened. The special education teacher was FURIOUS, and had a meeting with her and the principal. Let's just say this teacher was replaced within two weeks. LOL!!!

My daughter is dedicated to learning and never gives up! She is now in the Sixth Grade, and has gone up on her I.E.P. She's not where she should be, but she is making strides to catch up to her classmates level. It is very hard to work with her sometimes, due to her being wore out from classwork or getting punished with the whole class for something she did not do; which she then becomes very upset and shuts down. When you get her to this point, trying to get her to do anything is like pulling teeth. I asked her one day what she wanted to be, and she told me that she wants to be a doctor; and I support that 100%!!! I told her that it's going to be a lot of work, but if she pushes hard towards it she can become one. She can't let others get her mad or upset, because that decreases her learning ability.

Children with special needs are no different then any other child. They want to learn, they want to be loved, they want to be treated like any other child that doesn't struggle in school. So take the time to work with these children. They are bright and funny; AND JUST WANT TO LEARN!!!

Gun Control may not happen in Wyoming!!!

The article you are about to read comes from http://washingtonexaminer.com/wyoming-lawmakers-propose-bill-to-nullify-new-federal-gun-laws/article/2518133#.UPCTSeS5ySp. Wyoming is NOT going to let the president of the United States take away their second AND tenth Amendments. If the president enforces gun control, there are going to be A LOT more innocent people being killed. There are so many being protected by owning a gun. Not to long ago in Michigan, someone broke into the home where there was a mother and her two children home alone. By her 1) contacting her husband who called 911, and 2) her having a gun; she saved her babies and herself when, the intruder found them hiding in a crawl space. Had she not had a GUN, sadly, they may not be here today. In Detroit, MI a mother and her two children were killed by an intruder because, the 911 operator told her not to shot the victim. Guess what the intruder had? A GUN!!! Had she gone with her instincts, she and her babies would probably be her today. You can't control the gun population. If someone really wants a gun, they are going to find one on the black market. What is your take on owning a gun?

Wyoming lawmakers propose bill to nullify new federal gun laws

Wyoming lawmakers have proposed a new bill that, if passed, would nullify any federal restrictions on guns, threatening to jail federal agents attempting to confiscate guns, ammunition magazines or ammunition.
The bill – HB0104 – states that “any federal law which attempts to ban a semi-automatic firearm or to limit the size of a magazine of a firearm or other limitation on firearms in this state shall be unenforceable in Wyoming.”
The bill is sponsored by eight Wyoming state representatives ad two state senators. If passed, the bill would declare any federal gun regulation created on or after January 1, 2013 to be unenforceable within the state.
In addition, the bill states would charge federal officials attempting to enforce a federal gun law within the state with a felony – “subject to imprisonment for not more less than one (1) year and one (1) day or more than five (5) years, a fine of not more than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), or both.”
The bill also allows the Attorney General of Wyoming to defend a state citizen from any prosecution by the United States Government.
One of the bill’s co-sponsors, Wyoming State Senator Larry Hicks, toldThe Washington Examiner that this type of legislation sends a message to the federal government in Washington D.C.
“It says that your one size fits all solution doesn’t comport to what a vast majority of the state believes,” Hicks explained in an interview.
Citing the Tenth and the Second Amendments, Hicks asserted that the legislation was Constitutional, adding that he fully expected it to pass in the Wyoming state legislature. Hicks said that his Wyoming constituents were upset about the looming threat of gun control coming from Washington, particularly since Vice President Biden signaled yesterday that President Obama was willing to issue an executive order to tackle the gun issue.
“They are very, very upset that we’re going to see some level of federal takeover of our weapons and abuse of our rights given to us by the Second Amendment,” Hicks stated. “Also that the federal government will bypass our legislative officials and confiscate our weapons through executive order. This gives citizens of the Western United States a great deal of concern.”
Rep. Kendell Kroeker, the lawmaker that spearheaded the bill, explained that he hoped that the federal government would recognize their constitutional rights based on the Tenth and Second Amendments.

"I think that its necessary when the federal government violates our rights in the Constitution we have to act," he explained.
The proposed legislation has recieved a overwhelmingly positive response from their constituents, according to the bill's sponsors, even from citizens of other states.

Kroeker said that since he introduced the bill he has received up to 50 emails from constituents thanking him for standing up for their rights.
“Most of the feedback that I have received is very encouraging," explained State Rep. Mark Baker, a fellow co-sponsor. "Many citizens from other states have contacted me stating that they are envious of our state’s initiative."

Kroeker said that he currently owns several handguns, rifles, shotguns and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle - the model targeted by gun control proponents.

"People in Washington tend to overreact," Kroeker said. "They try to place blame on gun owners punishing in the innocent to pay for the crimes of the guilty."
Hicks explained that the model of the bill was taken from a bill passed in the State of Montana in 2009 adding that it wasn’t much different from what he’d seen other states do.
“I don’t think this is controversial in Wyoming at all,” he added. “I fully expect this bill to pass.”
