'Twas the day of Christmas and all through the house,
kids are running around not acting like a mouse.
Tearing up paper and playing with their toys,
all mommy and daddy want, is to hear no more noise.
Tired and sleepy, they watch their kids play,
While mommy and daddy try not to slip into a daze.
Lots of food and family we see,
the kids loved looking at the tree.
So full of color, so full of light,
its very hard for them to say goodnight.
All they want to do is sit there and play,
but its been a very long day.
It was fun to see their faces as they unwrapped their gifts,
now its time for mommy and daddy to slip into a drift.
Kids back in bed without a fight,
so Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
